On-site training class for facility personnel using the facility’s medical gas and vacuum system equipment. This course is designed to meet the requirements of NFPA 99 section 5.1.14.2.2.5 (B) (1) for maintaining the facility’s medical gas systems.

Recertification
Candidates shall be employed by the health care facility to maintain the medical gas system.
Hands-on training with the facility’s equipment and a review of current code requirements and standards
Equipment preventative maintenance procedures and best practices covered
Safe handling of medical gases
Existing medical gas system review and comparison to current code requirements
5 Hours per student.
Training is scheduled to involve all shifts
Classes are in group format with all students employed by the same facility.
Recertification is in the form of the 5 hour training utilizing the latest codes, best practices, and new facility specific equipment.
