About CYA

CYA specializes in precision medical gas testing, inspections, and repairs for healthcare facilities preventive maintenance programs & construction projects.

CYA began in 1999 as Carsten’s Yearly Analysis, Inc., a medical gas piping systems testing firm. In the over 20 years since, CYA has expertly addressed medical gas piping system needs, growing to include design peer review, preventive maintenance repair, and training/certification for professionals involved in the design, construction, inspection and operation of Health Care Facilities.

Our approach focuses on assuring each Healthcare Facility stays compliant with the latest adopted Codes by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). CYA works on your behalf to maintain your Facility’s compliance with your Local, State, and National AHJ.

CSHE Gold SponsorHence CYA—It’s not a name, it’s an attitude!

Working with CYA gives you the full spectrum of medical gas piping system services—testing, inspections, verifications, repairs, equipment sales, rentals, preventative maintenance and design consultations/plan reviews.

Every medical gas piping system we inspect, maintain, repair, and verify MUST match a clinical level of precision before we sign off.

All to assure the safe and reliable operation of your medical gas piping systems.

Our field service employees are credentialed as ASSE 6020 Medical Gas Inspectors, ASSE 6030 Medical Gas Verifier, and ASSE 6035 Bulk Medical Gas/Cryogenic Fluid Central Supply Systems Verifiers. They serve the needs of the healthcare industry for the Western United States headquartered out of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Ongoing Dedication to the Healthcare Industry

With how critical healthcare facilities are to the well-being of their communities, and our nation as a whole, we want CYA to be your safe, confident choice. To that end, we demonstrate our commitments through industry association memberships & training.

As 15-year-plus members of the California Society of Hospital Engineering (CSHE) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB), CYA, Inc. continues to support the missions of both these outstanding organizations. As such we have been recognized for our participation, support and maintaining a Company in good standing.

Janet Lunde

Vice President & Owner

Janet joined the CYA team in 2009. Prior to 2009, Janet worked for 27 years on the Washington Hospital Healthcare System management team.

During her time at Washington Hospital, she worked in the Finance and Operations divisions. First hand experiencing the challenges presented by many transitions in the healthcare environment. Because of her experience of working in the cost center environment (a function of hospital operations), she is uniquely qualified to align CYA services and personnel to focus on our facility customers’ needs, assuring their success with their “customers” in the constantly changing Healthcare environment.

Having been a manager in a department that is a “cost center” instead of a “revenue generating center” herself, she realizes there are many budgetary constraints. Using cost analysis tools, project management methodology coupled with process improvement team concepts, Janet has been able to develop a streamlined functional operations system for CYA.

CYA, Inc. has a unique approach to servicing our customers. We do not see them as revenue generators, but as partners in working together to provide exceptional patient first ethics in safety. We align our policies and staff training ensuring a safe and reliable Environment of Care for our customer’s Licensed Medical Professionals to perform their excellent care.

Hence, our future plans will always include a strategy to focus on customer satisfaction which includes incorporating the constantly changing environment of healthcare.
