The new pavilion replaces the hospital’s emergency room, operating rooms, surgical intensive-care unit, cardiology services, pathology laboratory support, radiology services, and a 12-bed burn unit.
CYA performed pre-construction plan and specification review, attended periodic onsite construction meetings, and performed the medical gas system verification testing per section 5.1.12.3 of NFPA 99. We tested the medical gas distribution and alarm systems on the new Oxygen, Medical Air, Vacuum, Nitrogen, Nitrous Oxide, Carbon Dioxide and Waste Anesthetic Gas Disposal (WAGD) piping systems. This included new cryogenic vessels for Oxygen and Nitrogen as part of the project.
We also tested a new Medical Air Compressor system, a new Medical Vacuum Source system, and new manifolds for the Nitrous Oxide and Carbon Dioxide systems.
