The Highland Care Pavilion is an 80,000 sq. ft. Outpatient and Specialty Care Pavilion with a dedicated medical air compressor, dedicated medical vacuum pump systems, connection to campus bulk oxygen tank system, and connection to the hospital’s master alarm panels. The new Acute Care Tower includes new units for Labor & Delivery, ICU, Neonatal ICU, Radiology, Medical Surgical, and a new Central Utility Plant.
CYA performed pre-construction plan and specification review, attended onsite construction meetings, and conducted medical gas system verification testing. Testing included the distribution, source, and alarm systems for Oxygen, Medical Air, Nitrogen, Nitrous Oxide, and Vacuum. We replaced and tested the Bulk Oxygen Tank System, with tie-ins to the existing piping and alarm systems.
