Medical Gas Systems Maintenance Personnel Training Course

Meet the requirements to sit for the ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Systems Maintenance Personnel Credential. The ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Systems Maintenance Personnel Credential meets the requirements of NFPA 99 section 5.1.14.2.2.5 (B) (2) for maintaining the facility’s medical gas systems. (Alternative to the Onsite Facility Maintenance Training option)

Recertification
  • Candidates shall be employed or contracted by a health care facility, or be actively engaged in working with medical gas systems, and shall have one (1) year minimum experience in the maintenance of the medical gas and vacuum systems.  
  • Training will cover the current edition of NFPA 99
  • Includes copies of the current ASSE 6000 Series book and current edition of NFPA 99Safe handling of medical gases
  • Includes assistance with registering for the ASSE 6040 exam through a recognized third party certification agency such as NITC or METC.
  • Each student must complete 24 contact hours
  • Course location is negotiable. Location will need to meet certain requirements.

 

  • We offer a 4 hour training course for current ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Systems Maintenance Personnel to complete in order to meet the requirements to sit for the re-certification exam. Those candidates with expired ASSE 6040 Credentials must take the full 24 hour training course.
  • The recertification training will cover the same topics as the initial training and is based on the current edition of NFPA 99.
  • Includes assistance with registering for the ASSE 6040 exam through a recognized third party certification agency such as NITC or METC.
